  • Beach closes Big West action with wins
    The women's volleyball team closed out its Big West schedule with weekend victories against UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton in Orange County.

  • Pepperdine rules home pool
    The Long Beach State men's water polo team played its last regular season game Friday at Pepperdine University, suffering a non-league 7-4 loss to the eighth-ranked Waves.

  • USD edges LBSU
    The University of San Diego narrowly defeated the Long Beach State women's basketball team 62-59 in both teams' season opener Friday at the USD Jenny Craig Pavilion.

  • 49ers lose season opener at Southern Illinois
    The pieces are in place and the post-season goals are in sight, but the Long Beach State men's basketball juggernaut still needs a little fine-tuning as was evident in a 101-89 loss to Southern Illinois Friday night in Charbondale, Ill.
