  • Park where?
    Parking lots at Cal State Long Beach became so impacted yesterday that a temporary parking area was opened for the first time in the university's history, according to Sandra Johnson of parking and transportation services.
  • Panel hired to overlook contract dispute
    A contract dispute between the California State University system and the union representing CSU faculty members will be sent to a fact-finding panel for review, according to Ken Swisher, a spokesman for the Chancellor's office.
  • Department of Labor, CSULB to meet
    In the aftermath of violating affirmative action laws for Vietnam War veterans, Cal State Long Beach is scheduling an early September meeting date to rectify the situation, said Armando Contreras, executive assistant to the president.
  • CSULB hires new faculty
    New semesters bring many new faces to campus, teachers as well as students, and as President Maxson highlighted in his convocation speech, there are 65 new tenure track faculty members on campus this semester.

  • Hip-hop group set to get the Union rockin'
    L.A. Symphony, one of the newest groups to emerge from the prolific Los Angeles hip-hop scene, is scheduled to perform at noon today in the University Student Union's West Terrace.
