    Any student convicted of a drug charge will be denied federal grants, loans and work assistance, due to a provision recently added to the Higher Education Act of 1998.
  • Merit pay report finds no bias
    Negotiations over salary increases continue into October as California State University faculty members fight to eliminate merit-based raises from their existing contract.
  • No standards for scooters
    The non-motorized kick scooters that are wreaking havoc on city streets are not having as destructive an effect on Cal State Long Beach as the rest of the state.

  • Pacific sweeps The Beach
    Conference woes continued for The Beach Saturday in Stockton with a three-game loss to University of the Pacific.
  • UNLV topples 49ers
    A change in formation jump-started the offense as intended, but the Long Beach State women's soccer team could not counteract the University of Nevada- Las Vegas'  team speed, falling to the Rebels 4-2 at home last Friday.
