Cochran,

The women's
soccer team has made huge strides under Head Coach
Julie Cochran in its three-year history, falling just
short of a Big West Conference title this season.
"We
were literally a tie away from winning the whole thing,"
Cochran said. "The future is absolutely huge."
For her
work this season, Cochran was selected Big West women's
soccer coach of the year, the first such accolade
of her coaching career.
"It's
nice to be recognized by your peers," she said."
I'm a little bit humbled by it, but it's a bit more
representative of the team's success. The coach doesn't
play."
Cochran
was not the only member of the team earning recognition
from the conference.

Midfielder
Jennifer Reott
Midfielder
Jennifer Reott was an all-conference first team selection,
the second time she has been honored. The senior was
a second team selection last year.
"I'm
thrilled for Jennifer because she was one of our founding
members," Cochran said.
Junior
defender Amber Glende was selected to the second team
and making the honorable mention list were sophomore
defender Becky Ricci and junior midfielder Caitlin
Murphy.
"I'm
a little disappointed we didn't have more on the first
and second team because we were strong defensively,"
Cochran said.
Noticeably
absent from the lists was freshman goalkeeper Hannah
Cochrun who posted four shutouts on the season.
