Maxson
looks forward
This is my
last column for the fall semester. I hope that you feel
as good as I do about the numerous student achievements
and academic programs sponsored this semester.
For me,
it has been a busy yet enriching academic year. It
is my sense that one of the key reasons Cal State
Long Beach has prospered so much this year is because
of your commitment to hard work and the absolute integrity
of doing what is right.
The ever-increasing
quality of our students has raised the profile of
the university within the region and continues to
bring for all of us enthusiastic recognition throughout
the state.
I want
to wish everyone a happy holiday season. And good
luck on all your final exams. I look forward to seeing
you next semester and to continue working with the
Daily Forty-Niner. I appreciate all the fine writers
of the Forty-Niner, and especially the editors for
allowing me to share this space.
My sincere
holiday wish is for all of you to have a safe and
relaxing winter recess with your family and friends.
