I would
like to respond to and express my opinion about the
article in the Daily Forty-Niner titled, " Students
Ponder Toilet Questions".
It seems
some students here at Long Beach State are not using
good judgment while using the campus restrooms and
instead are continually making the restrooms messier
for all the rest of us. These people who diligently
litter our restrooms should be held responsible for
their actions.
If Facilities
Management left the cleaning of the restrooms to the
students for one week maybe then will the students
accept responsibility and students will think twice
about leaving a mess.
We must
commend the great job the Facilities Management does
on a daily basis for the university. These workers
deserve credit for the work they do, which can be
work that most Americans would never think of doing.
Most of these workers come out at night to begin their
work, which continues into the early morning. They
all deserve credit for the work they do and we the
students must not overlook their integral part of
the university.
We must
not put the blame on the campus staff, which is responsible
for the maintenance of the campus restrooms. Students
must take more responsibility for their actions and
must realize the consequences that their neglect has
on other members of the university community.
