Stupidity
is taking over
Every day
it seems to me that people are becoming more and more
stupid.
A new show
that paints a clear picture of how bad it really has
become. "Street Smarts" is a concept show
that takes a camera crew out on the streets and asks
simple people, uh, really simple people very simple
questions.
It is "Who
Wants To Be a Millionaire" with out the cash
prize. I don't know which show attracts the bigger
morons. But the scary part is that the simpletons
on "Street Smarts" are out on the streets
everyday.
Perhaps
I am being too elitist. Maybe not everyone has the
educational opportunities I have had. But then again,
anyone who had athlete's foot knows that it is caused
by a fungus among us, but there was a young lady on
the show who thought the condition was caused by "stench
and funkiness."
This seems
like a funny show to watch in the stupor of a post-midterm
celebration. Sure you can get some cheap chuckles
from the show, but when the haze in your head clears,
it is pretty scary that people are really that lame.
