Peck for peck

From the station that brought you the million-dollar disaster, "Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?" and "When Good Animals Go Bad" comes another slap in the face of intelligence.

The Fox Network found a way to quell the uproar about beauty pageants like the Miss America contest and the Miss Universe pageant and aired "The Sexiest Bachelor Pageant" Monday.

The pageant assembled 50 men, one from each state in the nation, and paraded them before a panel of female judges. The pageant was held in the city of sin: Las Vegas. The MGM Hotel and Casino provided the venue for the meat market.

That's right. It was a meat market. Only no man in his right mind would ever complain about a room full of women hooting and hollering at him.

The bachelors were judged on style, personality, looks and the ever-important swim suit contest. We all know how the winners are picked. It always comes down to who looks best in a bathing suit.

We bet there were some serious arguments Monday night, as the pageant aired opposite Monday Night Football. Not many men would want to give up their football fix to watch 50 dudes strut around a stage.

At least Fox finally put a stop to all the squawking about these kinds of pageants.

However, this pageant had no such prostests, probably because no groups exist to protect men. Really, what man doesn't want to the object of lustful attraction? After all, that is why they entered the contest in the first place.
