CRIME LOG

The University Police have a list of reports that inform the community of suspicious activity around the Cal Sate Long Beach area.

Vehicle impound

A 1993 Toyota Tercel was impounded for an expired license on Sept. 24 from Lot 6 at 4:53 p.m.

Warrant arrest

A female suspect, Roxana Rivera, 23, was arrested for an outstanding warrant at University Police Facilities Management on September 25. She was also booked on a $15,000 warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Wallet stolen

A wallet was stolen from the Carpenter Performing Arts Center Room A137 on Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The contents of the wallet -- cash and credit card -- totaled $110 in value.

Honda burglary

A 1993 two-door Honda was broken into in Lot 14 on Sept. 25 between 11:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. The loses, include a digital video camera, a car stereo, compact discs, a skateboard and a performance intake air cleaner with a total value of $2,375.

Warrant arrest

Suspect Renard Jones, 46, a male, who resides in Compton was arrested for California Penal Code 71, threatening a school employee, and California Penal Code 3056 violation of parole. He is being held at the Long Beach City Jail without bail.

Jones is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 28 at the Long Beach Municipal Court at 2 p.m., said Christa King, a police services assistant for the Long Beach Police Department.

The arrest was made at 1 p.m. and Jones was booked at 3:03 p.m., said King.
