POLICE LOG

 The University Police has a list of reports that informs a list of reports that informs the community of suspicious activity around the Cal State Long Beach area.
 The list can be viewed on the Internet at http://activitylog.upd.csulb.edu.

  • 1985 Mazda 626 stolen
     A white 1985 Mazda 626 was reported stolen from Lot 14 between 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 22 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 23.
  • Purse stolen from Family Consumer Sciences
    A purse was stolen from the quad area of Family Consumer Sciences on Sept. 14, between 11 and 11:45 a.m. The contents -- pager, cell phone and cash -- had a total value of $200. University Police had partial recovery of the cell phone and cash.
  • ATM check card stolen
    An ATM check card was stolen from Music C210 between Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. and Sept. 14, at noon. The card was used.
  • 1994 Mitsubishi stolen
    A 1994 two-door white Mitsubishi Eclipse GST was broken into at the parking structure on Sept. 14, between 6:30 and 11:45 p.m. Dry cleaning and 50 compact discs were stolen.

Mercedes stolen
A 1988 4-door white Mercedes 190E was broken into at Lot 20, on Sept. 13 at 11:30 p.m. and Sept. 14 at 12:21 a.m. An art portfolio valued at $4,000 and art supplies valued at $610 was stolen. Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division recovered the vehicle Sept. 18. The car was stripped and damaged.

Material spill
A hydraulic fluid spill from a garbage truck occurred on West Campus Dr. by LA 2 at 8:25 a.m. on Sept. 15. There were units on the scene for traffic control and two the spill was cleaned by two sweeper trucks.

Commercial burglary
A credit card and checks were stolen from Dance Center F208, between 8 and 12:30 a.m., Sept. 11.

Auto burglary
A stereo CD player was stolen from the Northwest corner of Lot 16 between Sept. 14, 5 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 1:15 a.m. The value was $300.

Auto burglary
A CD holder was stolen from Lot 19 between Sept. 14 at 11:30 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 2 a.m. the value of the holder and CDs was $160.

Man arrested for warrant violation
Suspect Benjamin Shirley McNair, a 24-year-old male, black, 6' 1", 220 lbs. was arrested for an outstanding warrant and driving on a suspended license. He was booked Long Beach Police Department at $10,000 bail.
