The 4-1-1
on suds of the week
Christina
L. Esparza
Every week,
this column will inform soap addicts of the latest
goings on of their favorite daytime dramas.
This week,
we are starting with ABC favorites and next week we
will recap NBC's and CBS's. Not all of the story lines
could fit, but I promise the good stuff.
For
the week of 8-21
"All
My Children"
- Alex
saw Dimitri board his flight to Zurich.
- A confused
Edmund confronts David about the Dimitri sighting.
- Dixie
tells Edmund Dimitri is alive, but David shows Edmund
Dimitri's fake Death Certificate.
- One
of the maids at Wildwind finds a medication bottle
belonging to Dimitri on the grounds and brings it
to Alex.
- Dixie
drinks with David, who is having Romantic fantasies
about her, at the hospital.
- A jealous
Tad is relieved when Dixie lies about why there
were two cognac glasses in her office.
- Tad
reveals he plans to stay at Chandler Enterprises.
Dixie responds by telling him she will continue
working when the boys get home from camp.
- Adam,
Liza and Colby have a cozy moment at the Valley
Inn until Tad arrives and Liza tells Adam to back
off.
- Smitten
with jealousy, Adam orders Barry to bring Tad and
Liza down.
- Vanessa
bribes Arlene for more money to keep their secret
about Stuart (who is on his way to Pine Valley).
- Arlene
finds out Hayley is only pretending to accept her
and Adam's marriage.
- A hurt,
drunk Arlene yells at her daughter, Hayley, who
then tells Adam to leave her. Instead, Adam
walks away from Hayley, holding Arlene"s hand.
- Greenlee
asks Leo's Wade, for the money needed to keep Ryan
out of jail.
- Greenlee
meets with Wade and he tells her he knows where
the money's going and threatens to tell her grandfather
- Gillian
realizes Ryan is going to Chechnya to find Jake,
and begs him not to go.
- After
they make love, Gillian reveals to Ryan that she
plans to go to Chechnya.
"General
Hospital"
- Liz
took a sip of water Zander offered her and got drugged.
Lucky then took Liz away from Zander and professed
his love to her and kissed her. Knowing she would
not remember what happened, Lucky told her there
was something wrong with him.
- His
premonition rang true when Liz woke up only remembering
drinking the water.
- Gia
and Nikolas ran into Zander, but oddly, Zander did
not recognize Gia.
- Gia
and Liz fight before Lucky shares his gruesome plan
to frame Zander for Ted's murder. He plans to stick
Ted's frozen body into Zander's car.
- Taggart
arrests Sonny, Carly and Sorel. Carly then confesses
that she tipped off the cops because she wanted
to get Sorel arrested, she had no intention of getting
Sonny arrested. Sonny then forces Carly to move
in to the penthouse, but says she is "addicted
to lies" and he can never forgive her.
- Alexis
tells Sonny that the only way Carly cannot be forced
to testify is if he marries her.
- Jason
shows up at the penthouse and stuns Carly.
- Chloe
is almost Helena as Jax talks to the Brenda Look-alike.
- Pleased
that his plan to distract Jax worked, Stefan arranged
for a picture of "Brenda" to be in the
paper, after he found out Chloe was going in for
treatment for the tumor that gives her the premonition.
- Jax
sees the picture in the paper and Chloe convinces
him to fly to Paris. Chloe, afraid of losing
him, follows.
- Jax
sees a woman who is looks identical to Brenda get
into a limousine in Paris!
- The
phenomenally beautiful Vanessa Marcil is back! But
will she reprise her role as the deceased Brenda
Barret, or is she just another Brenda look-alike?
