  • Summer road repairs continue

  • Various roads throughout Cal State Long Beach will be undergoing repair and/or replacement, according to Michael Kelly, assistant director of Planning and Design Services.
     
  • Enrollment higher

  • Enrollment for all the 1999 summer sessions is approximately 14,500, a seven percent increase from last year, according to Wendy Rayburn, coordinator of Summer/Special Sessions.
     
  • Area code overlay outvoted

  • A state Senate committee approved legislation that may put an end to the 310-424 area code controversy.  The 11 member Senate Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee voted 8 to 1 in favor of the Area Code Relief Act, also known as AB818.
