  • Summer road repairs continue

    • Various roads throughout Cal State Long Beach will be undergoing repair and/or replacement, according to Michael Kelly, assistant director of Planning and Design Services.
     
  • Enrollment higher

    • Enrollment for all the 1999 summer sessions is approximately 14,500, a seven percent increase from last year, according to Wendy Rayburn, coordinator of Summer/Special Sessions.
     
  • Area code overlay outvoted

    • A state Senate committee approved legislation that may put an end to the 310-424 area code controversy.  The 11 member Senate Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee voted 8 to 1 in favor of the Area Code Relief Act, also known as AB818.
     
  • Old to modern tales entertain youth, parents

    • The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at Cal State Long Beach is hosting its second annual summer reading program Storytime in the Garden every Friday morning in July from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
