  • Fjola Larusdottir is a student intern at Cal State Long Beach Career Center. She plans on implementing career counseling in the school programs of her native Iceland to prevent student drop out rates.

  • The Long Beach mall will close its doors Aug. 15 for the last time  and will be revamped as something better by the Hopkins Real Estate Group.

  • The home of Cal State Long Beach professor Elena Zagustin was auctioned off July 14 for $301,500, according to the West Orange County marshallâs office.

  • The arraignment for a Cal State Long Beach employee, charged with sexual assaulting a fellow employee, has been continued to July 21, according to his July 13 arraignment.

  • Soulful Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan has released a new album -- a live album.  However, it is a shame that the only way the listener can tell the difference between McLachlanâs live album and her past studio recorded ones are the random screams from the audience.
