Album has smooth beats

MC Eiht returns to the rap world with hard-hitting lyrics and great beats on his new album, “Section 8” (his seventh)

A former member of the controversial group Comp-ton’s Most Wanted, MC Eiht brings to his album vivid, documentary-style raps that tell stories of his life.

After a short introduction, the album starts with “Living n’ tha’ Streetz,” featuring vocals by Eiht as well as Boom Bam, a former member of Compton’s Most Wanted.

Eiht talks about his life in the streets of Compton.  Although filled with violence and derogatory comments about the police department, the lyrics seem polished and rhyme well.

“Section 8” reaches its peak with the track “III tha Hood Way,” featuring fellow West Coast artists, Mack 10 and Ice Cube.

With a long and successful career in the entertainment industry, including an appearance in the movie “Menace II Society,” Eiht is no novice when it comes to performing and it shows with his album.
