Cal State Long Beach civil engineering Professor Elena Zagustin’s home is up for auction once again.
Misty May, setter for the 1998 Cal State Long Beach women’s volleyball championship team, has received the Honda-Broderick Cup, and been named as Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year. Ventura County Congressman Elton Gallegly urged the National Park Service, Tuesday, June 8, to close Channel Islands National Park in Ventura after an Oxnard boy was found to have been exposed to a deer mouse carrying the lethal hantavirus on June 1, 1999, according to the congressman’s press release. After a 29-year absence, the 1999 Southern California Special Olympics came back to the Cal State Long Beach campus last weekend and attracted more than 5,000 spectators and fans from the surrounding areas.

Mike Myers has again proven to be hilarious in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," the sequel to "Austin Powers." "Music Lessons," a film directed by artist Eleanor Antin, was shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Tuesday night as the last part of a three week film festival featuring the director’s work.
