Megan Godfrey, a senior dance major working toward her bachelor of fine arts degree is planning on graduating in the fall 1997 semester.

Before coming to Cal state Long Beach, Godfrey danced at the Los Angeles County High School of the arts.

During her senior year in high school, Godfrey was chosen to participate in the Komische Opera Ballet Company in Germany.

While there, Godfrey said she learned how much further she had to go to become the kind of dancer she dreamed.

Godfrey is president of CSULB dance student organization, "Off Seventh." She is also the founder of the Dance and Music Experiment Ensemble.

The ensemble was organized to create an environment where anyone is welcome and where composers, dancers, artists and choreographers can work together.

After graduation, Godfrey plans to work with a professional company in either modern dance or ballet.

Godfrey would eventually like to continue her education and get a master's degree in physical therapy.
