Vandalism, Aug. 21: A student reported that he parked his car in Lot E at
approximately 7 p.m. When he returned, he said he found the left front quarter
panel had been pushed inward about one inch. Student said he asked a group of males
who had been seen and heard jumping on vehicles to leave the parking lot.
Arrest, Aug. 23: University Police assisted Turlock Police in arresting suspect
with a $35,000 warrant for arrest. Suspect was released to the custody of Long Beach
Police Department.
Suspicious Subject, Aug. 23: Male reported loitering in area of SSA-123. When subject le
ft, he mumbled something about killing someone or something. Officer
contacted subject and
found him to be incoherent but harmless. Subject was escorted to bus stop at
Seventh Street and
West Campus.
Suspicious Incident, Aug. 23: Phone oper
ator in SSA-320 said she
was on the phone
with student who complained that the university was not helping him with his
problems. During
course of conversation student allegedly said, "What do I need to do to get some
attention around
here, get a gun
and start shoting?" He then hung up. Student is scheduled for an
appointment in a
few weeks to discuss his academic problems.
Theft, Aug. 25: A Honda motorcycle was reported stolen from lot
outside
Administration Building. Loss: $4,000.
Suspicious Incident, Aug. 26: A car stereo and radar detector were
reported stolen from
a Ford Mustang after someone had smashed right front window.

1989 Honda Civic
