POLICE LOG

University Police offers a daily list of criminal or suspicious activities within the Cal State Long Beach community.

Nov. 26

After a traffic stop at Seventh Street and East Campus Drive, a man was cited for two outstanding warrants for  theft of recyclables.
The citation lists a date for him to appear in court.
He was released, instead of booked, because of the small amount of the warrants, $1,950, police said.
Nov. 29
A $2,000 computer was stolen from a lab in Liberal Arts Building 4. The burglar smashed a small window on the door and reached in to open it, police said.

A woman reported the theft of her cellular phone from the University Student Union reference area on the first floor.
The estimated loss is $500.

A man was arrested in the University Library after campus police were notified of the man's acting in a lewd manner.
Police found Ronald Assaf, 40, on the west side of the second floor in the library at 3 p.m.
He was booked at the Long Beach City Jail on a misdemeanor lewd conduct charge, said Greg Pascal, spokesman for University Police.
Assaf was held on a $500 bond and released Wednesday, Pascal said.
