| Daily Forty-niner is independent? That's
news to me!
If that's true, then why have I never read
any opinion-editorial pieces in the Forty-Niner that express any controversial
ideas in my four years at Cal State Long Beach?
Some good topics have been brought up,
but no one at the Forty-Niner has had the balls to push it far enough to
actually make people think.
Instead, every couple of months you publish
the obligatory story about how bad parking is.
You brought up the point that the Forty-Niner
scoops the Union.
How could a daily paper not scoop a weekly?
Do the math.
Simple dumb luck could explain this.
How often are the AP stories that are published
in the Forty-Niner actually directly related to the campus or students
in general?
We all know that AP stories are used to
fill the space for which you do not have student writing.
It is just like the pictures of students
walking in rain that we are going to see in the coming months.
