Singin the Blues

Cal State Long Beach played host to thousands of music fans attending the 20th annual KLON Long Beach Blues Festival last Labor Day weekend.

The event featured performances by popular artists including Buddy Guy, Al Green and John Lee Hooker.

A wide variety of blues fans were treated to warm temperatures, sunny skies and loud music during the three-day event.

"My family and I have been coming to the Blues Festival for seven straight years, and we havenít been disappointed yet," said John McNotty, who drove from Victorville to attend the concert.

The festivities, held at the CSULB athletic field, had a carnival-like atmosphere. Many booths encompassed the venue, selling food, drinks and souvenirs.

Tickets are being sold for next year's festival.
