Crime Log 

The University Police offers a daily list of reports accessible for public viewing to inform citizens of incidents that have occurred within the Cal State Long Beach community.

Nov. 4

  • A student fell while riding his bicycle on West University Drive. The rider suffered minor injuries and was treated by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics at the scene for bruises and cuts. He was transported to Long Beach Community Hospital and released.

  •  
  • Police received a call of water balloons being tossed from Residence Commons area onto passing vehicles around 9 p.m. Police located the men and advised them to quit.

  •  
  • Compact discs, a wallet and a videocassette were taken from an unlocked room in  Parkside Commons. No loss estimate was made. 
Nov. 5
  • A 1992 Honda Civic was broken into and a cellular phone was stolen. The owner reported he left his vehicle locked when he went to class and found the loss upon returning.  
Nov. 6
  • A 35mm Nikon camera was stolen out of an unlocked office in the fine arts department. The camera has an estimated value of $700.
 Nov. 7
  • A student and her roommate got into a verbal argument in their room at Residence Commons. No police report was filed.\

  •  
  • A woman called police after her roommate sprayed Mace in her eyes, requesting medical advice on how to neutralize the chemical.  The woman refused medical treatment and did not want to file a police report.  
Nov. 8
  • Several students reported items from their purses were stolen from an office in the Nursing Building. They said they found the items missing after returning from a break.

  •  
  • Two vehicles collided at a stop sign while leaving Lot 5 heading onto West University Drive. The accident resulted in no injuries. The two drivers exchanged information. No report was filed.
Nov. 9
    A traffic collision occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Earl Warren Drive when a motorist apparently cut off a vehicle coming out of Lot 20. No injuries were reported but the second vehicle was damaged on the left side door. The parties exchanged information and no report was taken.
