Epson America Inc., a creator of award-winning
digital imaging products, relocated its corporate headquarters Wednesday
from Torrance to the Kilroy Airport Center in Long Beach.
Founded in 1975, Epson America Inc. is
a global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality technology products.
It offers an array of award-winning image capture and image output products.
The U.S. affiliate of the Japan-based Seiko
Epson Corporation celebrated its move to Long Beach with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony and open house at its new office.
"As a member of the Long Beach community,
we would like to contribute to the community and its development," said
Norio Niwa, president and chief executive officer of Epson.
Company officials are interested in Cal
State Long Beach to implement programs that will help students get specialized
degrees, said Genevieve Walker, Epson's administrative vice president.
Walker said Epson employees are comfortable
with the Long Beach area because it is safe, secure and close to the freeway.
Epson "puts back something to the community,"
Walker said.
"We encourage employees to participate
in volunteer activities in the community." |
