Police Log
The University Police offers a daily
list of reports accessible for public viewing to inform citizens of incidents
that have occurred within the Cal State Long Beach community.
OCT. 25

A man reported his cellular phone stolen around
11 a.m. from the University Bookstore. The loss is estimated at $449.
OCT. 26

A woman's 1982 Isuzu I-Mark was stolen from
Lot 14 between 11:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. The loss is estimated at $1,200.

A university employee reported smelling a
strong gasoline-like odor permeating from a women's restroom closet on
the first floor of Faculty Office 3. The Long Beach Fire Department
was called to the scene and discovered a chemical solvent-soaked rag from
a trash can. Firefighters removed and disposed of the rag.

A solicitor was advised to leave campus after
officers found him illegally placing fliers on vehicles in Lot 14. He was
advised to clean up and leave campus.

A strong odor drifting from the basement of
the Social Science/ Public Affairs Building was found to be the chemical
cleaning agent Citrikleen. Safety and Risk Management officials responded
to the scene, cleaned up and determined it was no longer a health hazard.
Fans were placed to ventilate the area.

A bicycle was stolen from the North Campus
Center. The victim has not yet filed a police report.

A woman's 1987 Honda Civic was stolen from
Lot 19 over the weekend. The loss is estimated at $3,000.

A Huffy beach cruiser bicycle was stolen from
Residence Commons over the weekend. She estimated the loss at $350.
