Council tackles home-gun dealers
Attending the Long Beach City Council meetingwas
an eye-opening experience.
I watched the members pass a measure regarding
guns in Long Beach.
One of the members proposed a measure that
would ban federally licensed dealers to sell firearms from their homes,
require these dealers to attain a million-dollar liability insurance to
"protect" the city.
If this is how the council deals with serious
issues, I would hate to see how they might act on less important items.
I hope that gun control lobbyists will
realize the negative effects of their legislation and begin to focus on
real solutions to the problems in our society.
