A shooting outside a Los Angeles recording studio left one man dead and two injured Sunday night, according to police.

Dwayne "Draws" Dupree, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wound to the torso, said April Archer, a Los Angeles Police spokeswoman.

Long Beach native Delmar "Daz" Arnaud and Ricardo "Kurupt" Brown, of the group The Dogg Pound, were at the scene but escaped unharmed, sources said.

The incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. after several people had gathered outside the Echo Sound Recording Studio in the 2900 block of Los Feliz Boulevard, just north of downtown.

"It appears the victims were (mingling) outside the studio when they were confronted by two armed suspects, who opened fire without warning or provocation," Archer said.

Death Row Records recording artist Jevon Jones, known as "The Realest," was hit in the foot.

Another hip-hop artist, Willard "Act Da Fool" Givens was hit in the leg.

Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment and released, Archer said.
