"We had a couple of must-wins against Pacific
and San Diego on Sunday," 49er Head Coach Ricardo Azevedo said. "We had
some guys sick, some guys playing with a fever, and I'm proud of them."
In their final game Sunday afternoon, the
ninth-ranked 49ers (8-8, 1-3) edged No. 10-ranked UC San Diego, 5-4.

5-4 loss to California.
Notes: Azevedo said charges
against 49er Patrick Cochran, stemming from a Sept. 23 party that grew
into a riot, were going to be dropped.
However, Laura White, a representative
of the Long Beach City Prosecutorís office, said neither charge has been
dropped. |
