CRIME LOG

The University Police offers a daily list of reports accessible for public viewing that informs citizens of criminal and suspicious activity that has occurred within the Cal State Long Beach community. 

This is a summary of these activities:

OCT. 4

  • A vehicle parked at meters near University Police headquarters was burglarized. Money and a CSULB parking permit were reported stolen by the owner of the car. The loss is estimated at $32.

  •  
  • A dark-blue 1987 Acura Integra was stolen from the Parking Structure between 8 a.m. and noon. The loss is estimated at $9,500.


OCT. 5

  • A man became angry and punched a car after he almost collided with another driverís car on the West Turnaround, the point where State University Drive and West Campus Drive meet, said Greg Pascal, a University Police spokesman. 

  • The man apparently punched the other car from his driverís seat. No report was issued. 
     

  • A cellular phone was stolen from the Engineering and Computer Science Building. The loss was about $200.

  •  
  • A white 1991 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from Lot 11 between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m.  

  • The estimated loss is $11,000.
OCT. 7
  • University Police received a report of eight people drinking alcohol at Parkside Commons. Officers contacted the group, and no one was cited. It is against university policy to drink alcohol at that location, Pascal said.
OCT. 8
  • A fight broke out between two men on the first floor of Parkside Commons.

  • "It was a mutual fight between the two and no one pressed charges,î Pascal said. The incident occurred around 1 a.m.
