Snoop doesn't represent campus
I'm writing in response to the article titled,
" I Want Snoop on Campus," by Wes Woods II.
Okay, so you say you want Snoop Dogg to
be a representative of this campus. Give me a break!

You actually think this campus wants a
vulgar, woman-bashing, gang-banging, drug-using ex-con representing them
just because heís from Long Beach?
Yeah, right!
You also mentioned that his songs, or should
I say his verbal arrangements, got Long Beach recognized. But you conveniently
forgot to mention that some of his stomach turning songs include lyrics
like:
"I got no love for H**s, I f***íem I suppose.
I know the p****'s mine, so Iím gonna f*** a couple of times. When Iím
through with it, thereís nothing left to do with it, pass it to the homies,
now you hit it... b****s ain't s*** to me, youíll never be my only one
trick-a** b****!"
And you want this guy to represent the
women on this campus. I donít think any self-respecting woman who
knows whatís being said would support having Snoop represent them. This
could pose a problem, considering most of this campus is made up of women.
I'm sure if Snoop Dogg talked about men
the way he talks about women, you wouldnít be too thrilled to know heís
representing you, your campus, and what it stands for.
Our campus celebrates education, social
settings and cultural awareness, and shouldnít be represented by someone
who offends almost everything this campus symbolizes.
