Air Force lifts crowd

By Andres Cardenas
Daily Forty-Niner

While most of the 100 students who attended the Air Force rock band performance seemed to come for a music forum class, nearly all left with a great show.

The Air Force rock band from Travis Air Force Base played a wide variety of music at the Daniel Recital Hall on Monday. The band performed reggae, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues.

CONCERT REVIEW

The song "Chain of Fools" brought the crowd to life. The Aretha Franklin classic was sung beautifully by vocalist Cassandra Davis. She performed wonderfully on another Franklin song, "Think."

The band is made up of Davis, Gary Rosenak on lead guitar, Adrian Ahearn on bass guitar, Dean Macomber on drums and Ira Ostrowski playing backup guitar and vocals.

"They were awesome," said senior Zanine Szatan. "(Davis) was awesome."

Ahearn, Macomber and Rosenak did an exceptional job on  "Chicken," a jazz song. Each had a solo in the song and all three shined in their moment.
