	Games begin in conference By Tom Harshbarger Daily Forty-Niner The No. 8 ranked 49ers will face two top ten teams this weekend. Saturday will mark the beginning of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference play when the 49ers (4-4) face No. 6 Pepperdine (2-4) at noon in Malibu. WATER POLO The Waves defeated LBSU, 7-6, in the Southern California Tournament Sept. 19.  The 49ers will play No. 9 UC Santa Barbara (3-4) for a second straight Sunday, this time at the Campus Pool at noon.  LBSU has defeated the Gauchos the past nine times. "Anytime you play a team, particularly when you beat them, you have to rethink what you do," 49er Head Coach Ricardo Azevedo said.
