Temperatures reached the low 90s in Long Beach while exceeding 100 degrees in Los Angeles and are expected to remain close to that mark until the weekend.

  • Proposal plans budget increase

  • Salary raises, hiring of faculty and staff, and better student services will head toward Cal State Long Beach if the Board of Trustees and the state approve a proposed $233.3 million budget request, said Cal State Long Beach President Robert Maxson.
