Campus Center must be for study

When I came back from summer vacation I found that the North Campus Library had been re-christened the North Campus Center.

Aaron McGushion

As I walked in, everything seemed to be normal. Inside everything was the same as last semester.

Being an inquisitive person, I decided to further my investigation. Surely I would find the difference if I spent  time there.

As an engineering student, I spend most of my time on the north end of the campus. So, in actuality, I would have to spend my afternoons studying there.

I found a nice, quiet table in the study area and began to vigorously write away. I was lucky enough to get an entire 30 minutes of work done before I was kicked out.

You may ask why they would inconvenience so many students. It must be something important.

I took a look in, only to find a small percentage of the room being used to have a banquet.

This has happened more times than I can count.

There is a place for everything on this campus.  And the North Campus Center study room is for students, not for small meetings and banquets.

Aaron McGushion is an engineering major.
