Colleges at a glance

    College of the Arts

    The College of the Arts at Cal State Long Beach is one of the nationís most comprehensive arts programs. The college is the stateís largest publicly funded school with 2,800 undergraduate and 200 graduate students in its six departments. For more information, one may contact (562)985-4376.

    College of Business Administration

    The College of Business Administration is accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business at both the bachelors and masters degree levels. Composed of five departments, the college is a rigorous student-oriented college that provides relevant ìbusiness-centeredî education. For more information, one may contact (562)985-4167.

College of Education

The College of Education offers specific courses focusing on the preparation of personnel for training and educational service in the pre-school, elementary, middle and high schools, community colleges, adult programs, other and a variety of teaching and service credentials. College of Engineering

The College of Engineering offers bachelors of science degrees in the disciplines of engineering, computer science and engineering technology. Last year, Dr. Tracy Maples, who graduated from CSULB in 1992, received a Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award. For more information, one may call (562)985-5121.

College of Health and Human Services

The College of Health and Human Services consists of 11 departments, four programs and five centers. The college currently has approximately 5,000 majors and grant a total of 1,100 undergraduate and graduate degrees each year. For more information, one may contact (562)985-4194.

College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts is responsible for much of the general education required of all students and provides professional training in social work and journalism. The college offers bachelorís degrees in 24 departments. Fourteen of these departments also offer masterís degrees. For more information, one may call (562)985-5381.

College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

Five of the six departments within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics offer both the bachelor of science and the master of science degrees. The departments of biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry and physics and astronomy also offer a bachelors of art degree.
