Test Revision Extra Credit
This assignment is due by Wednesday November 18th, 2009. The purpose of this extra credit is to give you some feedback and suggestions to help you develop your studying, reading, and writing skills. You will also practice some techniques for systematically approaching your tests, both during and before the test.
If your test has several comments about style or grammar, go to the linked pages and do some practice exercises. At the beginning of your revised answer, note which, if any, exercises you completed.

Next, Wallis gave a short lecture on systematically answering test questions and studying. For each question you wish to submit as part of this exercise you'll need two things; (1) A copy of the lecture outlines (Just the first few slides of a lecture) for the relevant lectures, (2) A copy of the test question. For each question you revise: (1) Go through the lecture outline and try to do the things described in (B) and (C) in the study section of Wallis' Lecture on test taking (slides one and two). (2) Print out or copy each question and write your answer (and mark-up the question) as outlined in the reading test questions section of Wallis' lecture on test taking (slides three and four). (3) Rewrite your answer using your road map. Print your graded test and your revision. (4) Turn in all your work to Wallis in class by the 18th.
You can rewrite only those questions for which you lost more points than you can recieve by rewriting. For instance, if you recieved a 9 on a test question and your overall score is 65, rewriting that question could give you 1.25 points--more than you lost. Therefore, you cannot rewrite that question. However, if you recieved a 9 on a question and your test total was 90 percent, rewriting that question will give you .5 points--less points than you lost. So, you can rewrite that question. Points will be added to your original test score according to the following scheme:
