The
Print Journal
Due to the madness
brought forth by Issue One, submissions are not
being accepted at this time until the devastation has been
undevastated.
Any submissions received will be shredded and used as confetti at
our next fiesta. However, if you look over to your
right, Like Water Burning's online jounal
of
(Non)Fickshun
is currently accepting fiction and
non-fiction
of 500 words or less.
Switch over to column B now for more details. |
The
(Non)Fickshun
500
Submit your fiction
or non-fiction piece of
500 words or less to
LWBFlashFiction@yahoo.com. Why 500? 500 can be divided
by 2. We like that. It can also be divided by 5, which is something we really
like. Submissions should be really, really good—but go ahead and send us the
really good ones, too. We’ll still read them and plan on giving them equal LWB
love. Selected submissions will be featured on the ultra-sleek Like Water Burning
(Non)Fickshun
Racetrack.
Multiple submissions are
permitted, but no more than two per person. Only unpublished work will be
considered. If you would like to submit a piece but don’t know what to write
about, consider writing about one or more of the following: drugstore janitors,
seven grain whole wheat toast, underachieving fourth graders, neon orange
paperclips, old hotdogs in soggy buns, the inevitable commercial success of
salmon-flavored toothpaste, that girl in freshman composition who makes you
sweat, talking cupcakes that scream when you eat them, talking pencils that cry
when you sharpen them, or talking mutes. (Note: Writing on one of the suggested
topics will not increase your chances of being featured on the ultra-sleek LWB
Racetrack. Sending us well-concealed wads of cash in plain, brown envelopes
marked
NOT A WAD OF CASH, on
the other hand, will.
Please send all
online submissions to
LWBFlashFiction@yahoo.com
with
FICTION
or NON-FICTION in the subject line.
