CASE STUDY I
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORT AND PRESENTATION
 

1.    Organize into groups of 3-4 students.

2.    From slides and lab data determine the most plausible diagnosis.
       Submit diagnosis to instructor for confirmation.

3.    Research current information about this hematological disease.
       Divide into subtopics for individual presentation and write-up.

       Suggested subtopics:
           a.    Description of disease. Include morphological evaluation of slide,
                  clinical symptoms and relevant lab data.
           b.    Relevant test procedures for diagnosis, techniques, significance of data acquired.
           c.    Current prognosis and treatment methods.

4.    Adhere to 15 mm. Time limit/ group

Total points possible: 20 points
      5 pts for identification of leukemia
      5 pts for presentation (15 min./group)
      10 pts for report (not to exceed 2 pages)
