The Jazz Archive is one of the foremost jazz research centers in the country. A partnership between the CIPJ, the Music Department at CSULB and the Los Angeles Jazz Institute, the Archive houses a collection of very nearly every jazz recording ever made as well as over a million jazz photographs, music, and other rare and important jazz memorabilia.  The Jazz Archive is located at the CSULB Music Center and is open to visitors by appointment.
