Participants in this workshop will be encouraged to banish
customary approaches
to pedagogy and to explore novel approaches to course
design and instruction. To
stimulate pedagogical creativity, The Deep Dive, the
most popular Nightline
show ever aired, will be shown, and ideas from Whack
on the Side of the Head will be
presented. During breakout brainstorming sessions,
participants will be
encouraged to use some of the creativity-enhancing concepts
from Whack and Dive
to explore instructional innovations specific to their
own courses
