CECS 110

Brian Ascani's New Website
This was the final project for my CECS 110 class. Believe it or not, that was considered to be a styling website for that class. I'm actually kind of surprised by the code. It has pretty alright code. The doctype was XHTML 1.1 which is even more stringent than the Strict doctype. However, the side bar needs a little reworking. The colors are abhorrent but there was a lot of experimenting going on. I definitely know there are things that I never want to see again in a website and some things that I want to keep.

Well, if you can tell by now, I really like my blues, my pinks, and my grays. I remember I thought this website was so cool and I thought it was so cool that I was able to put a background color on headers. Oh man, the color scheme is so bad on the ideas. I showed it to someone a few days ago and they said they got a headache from looking at it. I don't remember anything special about this website except we had to have a certain amount of CSS styles so there are probably some unnecessary things to make for it. Can you see the italicized black footer on the pink background? Makes my eyes hurt.
La La Land
Before I even made the site, I said it was going to have a pink background to it and I remember asking Mrs. Mack if it was ok and we all just laughed. It became the joke of the class that I would always try and get a little pink in every website. This site was a site all about a fight between Keebler and Lucky. I almost finished the whole battle but I never quite got around to making the actual battle, sad really. Maybe one day I will go back to it and finish the battle. I thought it was really cool that I could make a website that had | in it for the navigation.
Seaports R Us
This was our final project for the class which was basically our final. The color scheme is a lot easier on the eyes than the last two websites and even the last class; however, the colors do not make so much sense. When the background color is a light blue why is there orange and then green? They're cool colors but they do not work very well. It was the best website thus far and is really not a bad website. There's a lot of content and a good general idea, the navigation and header are phenomenal looking. Some side navigation would have helped out a lot.

Brian Ascani's Web World
This is the best website that I've made thus far. I have a lot better control over the content and presentation. We're also putting everything together that we've learned for the previous classes and making it work while learning some more cool tricks. Still trying to get the pink in (link hovers).
Samilicious Personal Flash Website
A website that I made completely in Flash CS3 for my girlfriend. One of the requirements for the anniversary was that I didn't spend any money and she was asking me about making her a website. So, I put a few ideas together and with the fantastic imagery from Lindsay I was able to put together a decent website my first time around. It has a music player featuring some of her favorite songs, a photo album showing her family and friends, and another page about her, her family, and what she does.
