Subj:Class - 14 Jan 02 Date:1/13/02 10:12:42 PM Central Standard Time From:the.hamills@home.com To:Jonathan.Hamill@LOSANGELES.AF.MIL Sent from the Internet (Details) Ladies and Gentlemen: Thanks again for submitting your email to me… this will make communication a bit easier. Speaking of, if you have pressing questions, you will have the best luck getting a hold of me by calling my work number (310) 363-3753. I am there, most of the day, and that is the voicemail that I check most frequently. I will have a hard copy of the slides for Chapters 4 and 5 available to you at the beginning of class tomorrow. Due to the some problems in acquiring the textbook, I will not collect any homework tomorrow. The homework for chapters 1 through 3, however will be due next time, assuming that everyone has received their book by this Friday. I will also shift all subsequent homework due dates 1 week to the right, so that you will be able to (1) try the homework after the lecture, (2) ask questions during the following class, and (3) use that information to better understand the information (and complete the assignment). I will explain this process further in class. There will not be an in-class quiz tomorrow. We will cover any questions you may have over Chapters 1 – 3, and I will hand out a take-home quiz that you may collaborate with your neighbors to complete. With regards to the holidays, due to the already limited number of meeting times we have, I am proposing that we simply stay on schedule. If, however, everyone can meet on a different day, and the school has a room available (which I will find out tomorrow prior to class), then we can discuss and vote… ;-) on an alternative day. Hope your weekend went well. See you all tomorrow night! -vr- Todd
