Academic Computing Services provides a number of faculty support
services at the Horn Center. These include one-on-one statistical,
database, and web development consulting, an annual faculty grants
program, self-serve scantron test scoring and gradebook services,
and coordination of campus site licenses and CSU specialty centers.
Faculty members Dr. Sherna Berger Gluck and Dr. Kaye Briegel along
with staff members Dr. David Bradley, Nancy Rayner, and Walter
Gajewski received the coveted Higher Education Innovator Award
at the E-Gov Conference 2003 Accenture and MIT Digital Government
Awards program in Washington, D.C. On June 10, 2003, their VOAHA
Project received this national recognition for "best practices
in delivering educational services" via the Internet. ACS
congratulates this partnership and encourages faculty to continue
their submissions for software development projects.
This project and several others are featured on the ACS Faculty
Showcase webpage. These services are available at the offices
of Academic Computing Services' Development Lab in the Steve and
Nini Horn Center.
