CSULB participates in the Scantron Loan Marketing Program (LMP
00250941). Under this program, Scantron loans and maintains the
888P+ test scoring scanners on campus. In turn, our bookstore
reciprocates by purchasing the necessary number of Scantron forms,
which are bought by the students (18¢ each). Popular forms
include the 815-E, 882-E, 882-E LOVAS, 882 N E, 883-E, 884-E,
885, 886-E LOVAS and the item analysis form 9700. We are entitled
to one scanner for every $750 worth of forms purchased by the
49er Shops Bookstore. Departments are not required to buy forms.
The Scantron Model 888P+ is an optical mark reader (OMR) and is
fast (scores 2000 tests per hour). It is a standalone machine
and is not connected to any computer or printer.

Scanner Forms
When feeding
Scantron forms through this scanner, test results are stamped
on each individual form. This scanner approach does not provide
a gradebook function nor does it provide a detailed printout of
the results. See document ACS-233 to learn more about ParScore
– a gradebook and test scoring software program available
in the ACS Development Lab of the North Campus Center.
