College of Liberal Arts: The Language Center is maintained by the College of Liberal Arts, which is the largest college on campus.

AAAS: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog and Vietnamese are housed in the department of Asian and Asian American Studies. AAAS offers Bachelor's Degrees in Chinese Studies, and Japanese, as well as a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Japanese.

RGRLL: Arabic, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish are all housed in the department of Romance, German, Russian Languages and Literatures. RGRLL offers four B.A. programs in French, German, Italian Studies, and Spanish. Minors are also available in all of those areas, as well as in Russian.

LOTE - Languages Other Than English: There are six Commission-approved subject-matter programs in Languages Other Than English: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish. Candidates who wish to become credentialed in a language other than these six may also demonstrate subject matter competence via CSET in Arabic and Mandarin to qualify for the credential program.

Finals Week - 2013 The lab will be open finals week from 9am to 5pm Monday May 13 to Thursday May 16. Language tutoring will still be available during this time.

There is an interesting web site called Frovo, which has the wildly optimistic goal of recording every word in every language in the world. You can browse the current collection by language, or search for a specific word. You can also join for free, which will allow you to add your own recordings, or rate the pronunciations recorded by others.
