This website is
intended for the general public to understand some basic
differences between human and bird vision, and to learn
about the diversity of visual systems in birds.
Currently, the
contents are focused on two aspects of the bird visual
systems: visual fields and head movements. We will
include another module on visual acuity in the next
couple of weeks, and one on color vision in the near
future.
You can learn about
each module by following the links on the left.
We also offer
talks
to schools in LA and Orange Counties about bird vision.
These talks are free. Do not hesitate to
contact
us to schedule one.
If you
would like to have more specialized information about
vision in mammals and birds, please, have a look at the
following links.
Thank you for your interest.
