Email Notification Now Fully Implemented!

Last spring the library announced that it was introducing email notification; customers who had placed a hold request for a book or who had asked that a book be sent from one of the library's LINK+ partners, could expect to receive an email notice that the item was ready for pick up.

Now, as promised, that notification has been extended to include "courtesy notices" of books that are approaching their due date and that they have become overdue and are accruing fees.

"We've been looking for a way to establish better communication with the library's borrowers," said Vicky Munda, Coordinator of Access Services. "At last, we can reach them in a way that's quick, mutually convenient, and that saves money."
