Education Specialist faculty Invited to Speak to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing about Revised Licensure

As the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) deliberates on the revisions to the special education teacher credentialing structure in California, Education Specialist program faculty, Drs. Shireen Pavri and Cara Richards-Tutor were invited to share with the commission about CSULB’s innovative, 5th year dual licensure program, the Urban Dual Credential Program at the June 17th CTC meeting. Students pursuing this 2-year cohorted program earn both the Education Specialist and Multiple Subjects credentials while simultaneously gaining clinical experiences. The program was developed under the auspices of the CEEDAR Center, a U.S. Department of Education funded technical assistance center at the University of Florida.
