CSULB Faculty Present at Strategies for Educating Diverse Learners Conference

Special Education and Applied Disability Studies faculty, Drs. Shireen Pavri and Susan Leonard-Giesen presented at the Strategies for Educating Diverse Learners Conference, a two-day conference for educators and professionals serving students
with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Dr. Pavri presented on Enhancing the Social Experience in the Classroom and on Campus, and Dr. Leonard-Giesen presented on Supporting Challenging Behavior in the Classroom. The conference was held at California State University, Long Beach on February 5th and 6th, and was sponsored by CSU Long Beach, CSU Los Angeles,
Club 21 Learning and Resource Center, and Down Syndrome Foundation of Orange County.
