As part of the Economics Seminar Series, this year we offered two Career Seminars and one Graduate Information Seminar. The Career Seminars brought two Distinguished Alumni, entrepreneur Charlie Abbott and John Olsen of the Principal Financial Group, to speak to our students about networking and career opportunities in economics. If you are an alum or have experience in economics, and you would like to participate in the Career Seminar Series, please contact Elaine Frey at Elaine.Frey@csulb.edu.

To prepare and inform students about graduate school, we also offered a Graduate Information Seminar for our undergraduate students. Several graduate students with various backgrounds came to campus to share their experience and advice, including Celeste Ahl, UCI Law School student and CSULB alumna; Patrick Button, UCI Ph.D. candidate; Jonathan Cook, UCI Ph.D. candidate; and Katherine Ruiz, CSULB M.A. student.
