The Coca-Cola Foundation awarded CSULB a $500,000 grant for a new Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarships program that will provide 25 students with four-year scholarships, with cohorts named during the next four years.

Candidates must have no parent or sibling who attended college, maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average at CSULB, demonstrate financial need and be a U.S. citizen and a California resident.

The first recipients began at CSULB this fall. The Coca-Cola Foundation—the global philanthropic arm of the Coca-Cola Co.—supports global priority areas including water stewardship; health, fitness and nutrition; education; recycling and other local priorities.
