Agatha Gucyski is a third-year student at CSULB studying Finance and Human Resource Management. Currently serving as the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of CSULB Associated Students, she is responsible for managing a $15 million operating budget while representing the entire student body. A self-driven and passionate individual, Agatha has enjoyed serving the community and holding leadership roles in student government since the beginning of her college career.
Fresh out of high school, Agatha knew that she wanted to be involved on campus to make an impact in others’ lives. Previously being the president of a community service club and head of a mentorship program, she was inspired through the lives she touched by volunteering and through her leadership. After trying out several different organizations, Agatha found her calling in student government and was fortunate enough to be elected as a senator for the College of Business Administration in her second semester. Making as much of an impact as she could, she has been humbled by her experiences to serve the students and community.
Her dream has been to inspire others and to make the world a better place. After graduation, she seeks to work for an institution that promotes social responsibility for the community and possibly finding a way into politics to have a voice for the marginalized citizens of this nation. In the end, she would like to attain a doctorate in education and work for a university in order to inspire students with her experiences and to create a new generation of brilliant, considerate leaders.
